"Okavango Moming"@1999 - 8ft. X 12ft. - Commissioned Oil on Canvas

Perhaps you saw the article about my commissioned mural entitled "Okavango Morning". If you missed the "house" I held in October in which the mural was showcased, a photograph is below along with a photo of me painting it, to give you some perspective.

The mural is 8ft. x 12ft. In order to create this mural it was desirable for me to travel to South Africa to see zebra in their natural habitat.

I was also fascinated by the incredibly beautiful birds in Africa. I especially loved the many different cranes and storks that live there such as the Waddled Cranes and the Saddlebilled Storks, a pair of which I was privileged to observe early one morning in Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. I will recreate them in oil on a "life-size" canvas.

Pictured here are three of my latest series: "Birds of the World" with many more to follow. The "Lilac-breasted Roller" and "Moluccan Cockatoo Portrait" originals are oil and may soon be available as part of my "miniature" series of giclee prints. At $29.95 these prints make lovely, meaningful gifts for bird lovers or anyone who has been to Africa and has seen them.

01999 "West African Crowned Cranes"


The "West African Crowned Cranes" original is an oil on canvas 5.5 ft. x 4ft. 1 painted these cranes "life-size" and they make an impressive impact. They are also available in canvas limited edition giclee, paper limited edition giclee and in the miniature edition giclee series.
